I began playing the cello at the age of 18 year old in my hometown, Porto Alegre, at the OSPA (Symphony Orchestra of Porto Alegre) School of Music. Soon after starting my cello studies, I started playing in orchestras in my city and region as a professional musician.
Moving to São Paulo I had the opportunity to play and be friends with several musicians and artists and to participate as a musician in orchestras such as OCAM (Chamber Orchestra of the University of São Paulo), Orquestra Experimental de Repertorio and OSUSP (Symphony Orchestra of São Paulo) among many others and chamber music ensembles.
In 2009 I moved to Portugal to study cello at the University of Aveiro with professor Alexander Znachonak. Already, in 2012 in the city of Porto I studied with Professor Jed Barahal at ESMAE and during that time I had the chance to live, work, and study between three countries Portugal, Mozambique, and Spain for more than 2 years playing and living with musicians from different countries and backgrounds. In music festivals such as the International Chamber Music Festival and the Maputo Jazz Festival (Mozambique), the international music festival Remix Ensemble in the city of Porto (Portugal), the Xiquitisi Social Project in Maputo (Mozambique) as well, and the beautiful experience of playing in the streets and bars of cities in Spain, Portugal, and France. Also, studying the master's course in cello at the Music School of Donostia/San Sebastian, in the Basque Country, MUSIKENE.
Since 2016 I have lived in Berlin, where I played in different groups, ensembles, artists, and theaters such as Ballhaus Naunynstraße and Hau Theater. Creating and collaborating in shows such as “STAUB (Poeira Surda)” by Lina Gomez, at the Ballhaus Naunynstrasse theater I performed plays such as “Ubuntu” - Permanent Beunruhigung Vol.I and “Auf Meinen Schultern” with Raphael Hillebrand. In music, I was part of groups such as the “Archestra” ensemble, the band ”The Salt Welcome”, and the ensemble of cellos “Cellogy”, and contributed to many other singers and musicians.
In 2020 I decided to look for a non-classical and more contemporary way of playing the cello, more dedicated to improvisation and what is called cello jazz. I was able to have meetings with great musicians such as Stephan Braun, Susanne Paul, Christian Howes, and Baiju Bhatt among others and so I progressed with this way of playing the cello that suits me best!
Currently, I continue playing in the “Archestra” ensemble, the project “Live Music Sundays”, and in my Afro-Brazilian jazz string trio “Muacy Trio”. Also, I give cello lessons as a private teacher.
